Alabama Court Docket is a private information service, not a court or clerk's office. This contact page separates requests that belong with an official record custodian from searches available through statewide systems. Most complete docket sheets and certified copies come from the clerk that holds the case. Use the county directory for Circuit and District record routes, and follow a different path for an appellate, municipal, or Probate matter. A question about a case date belongs with the court or clerk named on its notice.

This Is Not a Court or Government Office. Alabama Court Docket is privately operated. We cannot retrieve an official file, change a hearing date, amend or seal a record, issue a certified copy, or advise how a ruling applies to a case. For those services, contact the clerk or court with custody of the record.

Need an Official Docket or Record?

For official Alabama records and court business, use the office that maintains the relevant docket:

  • Case lookup: use Case Lookup for Just One Look trial searches or the appellate Public Portal for an appeal.
  • Current hearing date: review Alabama court dates, then confirm the setting with the county clerk or court coordinator.
  • Full docket sheet: open the local court route through the County Directory; the county Circuit Clerk holds Circuit and District records.
  • Certified copy: request it from the clerk or court that holds the original file. Start with the Alabama County Directory, or use the Secretary of State's Circuit Clerk contact list.
  • Court structure: the Alabama Court System page distinguishes trial, appellate, Probate, and municipal records.

Just One Look can locate available Circuit and District trial details, but the county clerk keeps the full docket and supplies certified copies. The Alabama County Directory leads to the local office for the county where a case was filed.
